Every bride loves looks forward to her bridal shower with all of the excitement, love, and games! It is the perfect occasion to ‘shower’ the bride with love, best wishes and fabulous gifts. Whether practical or whimsical, pick games for your bridal shower that will help everyone get into the spirit! Bridal Shower Games are an easy icebreaker and your guests will start interacting and relaxing. We all know some bridal showers can seem a bit repetitive so we have collected our favorite ideas for all of the maid of honors, bridesmaids and mothers out there to have an original and memorable shower!
We just launched some beautiful and fun bridal shower games to add a twist to the party. Some women may have seen these games at other showers, known as “Words of Wisdom.” This is when the guests “shower” the bride with marriage, life advice and amazing recipes.
We love the idea of the host of the bridal shower mailing these cards out prior to the shower with the bridal shower invitations and having guests fill them out before the party and share their advice for a happy marriage. Once the guests send the cards back with their RSVP’s the host can create a DIY scrapbook with all of the marriage advice or store them in a handmade box as a keepsake for the bride.
At the party, guests can take turns reading their words of wisdom to the group, and everyone tries to guess who gave that piece of advice. After all the cards have been read, the host can compile them in a scrapbook
Here are some of our newest bridal shower games.
We have also recently launched personalized ceramic mugs at Wedding Paper Divas. These mugs are perfect for a bridal shower favor for your gifts to remember your special day.
If you are having a themed bridal shower, such as a backyard garden bridal shower, you can match the invitations, the games and the favors with this Painted Garden design.

The Newlywed Game (My personal favorite)
The Idea: A way to put the bride in the hot seat.
The Deets: Before the bridal shower, interview the groom and ask him questions about the bride and their relationship: “Where was your first kiss?” “What’s his most annoying habit?” Then at the shower, ask the bride the same questions and see if she can answer correctly. To get the full effect, record video footage of the groom’s answers and play back his responses to each question for everyone to see and hear (allow a pause between questions.)
Two Truths And A Lie
The Idea: Guests recall their funniest moments with the bride.
The Deets: Each guest introduces herself and dishes about three experiences she’s had with the bride – one of which isn’t true. The person who correctly picks out the lie gets points. The best part? The truths can be wackier than the lies (cue the hilarious story swapping).
The Idea: Everyone tries to figure out what the bride did with whom.
The Deets: Hand out index cards and have each guest write a description of their favorite memory with the bride (the more adventurous, the better). The bridesmaids or hosts will collect the cards and take the bride on a trip down memory lane. All the guests will have to guess who … snuck out of the house to meet the bride at a fraternity party; met a celebrity on a weekend in Malibu with the bride; and more.
Socializing and opening gifts are typically the center of showers, and when games are planned with thought and attention, your guests will have a genuinely fun time. The best activities are always the ones that the bride will appreciate so put some thought into and you will sure please the bride to be!
Which game is your favorite? Good Luck Planning!
