The Used Wedding Dress Boom

According to an article posted this morning in the Wall Street Journal’s style section, the rocky economy has increasing numbers of brides throwing sentiment to the wind and selling their wedding gowns online at sites like Once Wed, Wore it Once and Encore Bridal.

This new craze means that there’s a plethora of used wedding gowns out there to choose from, including dresses from top-end designers like Vera Wang, Melissa Sweet and Nicole Miller—all for a price that’s almost too good to be true. You could snag this stunning Melissa Sweet dress for a mere $900 on OnceWed!

I bought my dress used. Honestly, I would never have been able to pay for my dress at full price, so purchasing it used was the next best option! I have a designer dress at half the price!!

Thanks for mentioning Encore Bridal as a site brides can buy couture gowns at enviable prices. Of course we believe brides deserve to get more for less…and so do they…we’ve found that brides are buying “pre-loved” couture more than ever this year.

Another great site for used wedding dresses is http://www.ResellYourWedding.com, and even though they seem to have less wedding dresses than the above mentioned ones, it’s still worth browsing through
