Inspiration Board: Orange and Yellow

Friday, July 17th, 2009

I know what you’re thinking.  Orange and yellow?  Like a candy corn?  Are you entirely sure you want to go there?  The answer is a resounding “yes!”.  I’m quite sure.  As a matter of fact, this color combination is going to absolutely sweep you off your feet.  I myself would never have considered this for my wedding, but after seeing some of the amazing ways you can implement this scheme, my mind is completely changed.  The bright hues are so invigorating, cheerful, fiery and striking, yours is a wedding that surely won’t be forgotten.

Gray: The New Neutral

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

If you’ve spent any time shopping, browsing the web for trends or perusing a style magazine this season, you may have noticed an immense amount of gray neutrals mixed with the bright, hopeful colors of spring.  Gray, although traditionally thought of as drab and dreary, has taken on new life in 2009 and promises to be one of the most modern mix-ins that you can have in your wedding.

I personally have an intense fondness for the grays of the season, from deep slate-gray to a lighter San-Franciscan Fog gray.  A wedding infused with gray will appear modern, classy and sophisticated.  So instead of dreading May Gray, welcome it with a flourish.  Try mixing gray in to your wedding with some of the following color pairings:

Inspiration Board: Canary Yellow & Gray

If you’re looking for fun and yet elegance, think bright yellow and subdued gray. It’s a winning combination that though started in spring will take you all the way into fall. Here are some ways to add this color theme throughout your wedding!

Yelllow and gray look fabulous together especially on our Two Birds Wedding Invitations in Mustard. It’s a beautiful way to introduce guests to your color theme. Martha Stewart’s Carnival Stand and Sweet Little Daisies Cake are all about bright colors and sweets.
