Real Bride: Abbie – Wedding Invitations

We are thrilled to have Abbie from All Things Tiffany Blue here today to share her wedding stationery with our readers. If you missed it last month she also shared her save the dates.

Abbie and Matt will be married on July 12, 2014 and today she is sharing her inspiration behind her wedding invitation choice.

Invitations convey the tone of your wedding and give your guests a glimmer of your style as well. When picking out invitations, we wanted to make sure that we found one that complemented both of our personalities and showcased our wedding’s aura.

Below are our top four picks for our winery wedding:

Third Runner Up: Rustic Wreaths invitations and response cards

rustic wedding RSVP cards
I love how these invitations fold out like a book. Their rustic appeal also complemented our wedding’s venue (a winery) perfectly. If we had purchased these invitations, I most likely would have added in our wedding color by customizing the black writing for Tiffany blue.

Second Runner Up: Simply Exquisite invitations and response cards

I was drawn to these invitations by the overall fancier feel that they seem to take on. These invitations have a beautiful damask pattern that I am constantly coveting. I also love that they can be customized to our wedding color (Tiffany blue) if desired. Finally, the ability to use pocket folds with them makes them extra desirable in that they automatically showcase a fancier vibe.

First Runner Up: Effervescent Sparkle invitations and response cards

This invitation & response card set completely stole my heart. Honestly, if the wedding was only about me, this probably would have been the one ordered. They are fancy and fun at the same time. I am in love with the fact that they can be used with pocket folds (I believe that they make any invitation a lot more glamorous). However, they did not fully fit the future husband’s personality or our wedding colors in a way that I loved so I had to pass. That said, I am hoping to use some of the Effervescent Sparkle pieces somewhere else in our wedding as I find them so very beautiful. They remind me so much of the chandelier that will be hung above us as we get married and would add a fantastic touch somewhere later on in our wedding paper journey.

Our Winner: Fairytale Seal invitations and response cards

These invitations and response cards screamed out to me as a perfect fit. They have the perfect combination of classic appeal with modern characteristics. The invitations are unique in that they fold like a book (something not typical of most that we receive). They are also a completely fabulous representation of our wedding’s overall theme: rustic chic. I love that we are also able to utilize more of our engagement pictures with this invitation and response card set. In addition, I’m a complete sucker for anything that is monogram-esque (the front cover of these lovely pieces are perfect!). Furthermore, once made with our wedding colors, it came to showcase both our personalities and our wedding style perfectly. We are ecstatic with the finished product and I cannot wait to put them all together for our guests!

This week’s Real Wedding is the beautiful celebration of Bonnie and Darren, held at the Leal Vineyards at Willow Heights Mansion in Morgan Hill, CA. The bride’s feathers and Art Deco style signs, made by her uncle, were inspired by the 1920′s Old Hollywood design of the mansion.

Real Wedding: Jessica & Robby

This week’s Real Wedding is the beautiful celebration of Jessica and Robby, held at the Bluemont Vineyards in Bluemont, Virginia on top of Mt. Weather. The couple met in college while studying to be meteorologists so when they got engaged they decided to have a weather-themed wedding. There were many little things that came together to make their wedding special and represent exactly who they are as a couple. The program fans had weather backgrounds, the table names were named after famous hurricanes, and the cake topper was uniquely made to look like the bride was forecasting the weather. The cupcakes had clouds, sun, and lightning bolt decorations on them and the wedding favors were wine glasses that had umbrellas with rain showers on them.

Real Weddings: Tania and Romeu

Today’s Real Wedding features the outdoor wedding of Tania and Romeu, which took place at a winery in a small town near Lisbon, Portugal. Tania and Romeu met in Portugal in 2006 while she was on a family vacation. They were together for two weeks and immediately fell in love. She came back to the U.S. while Romeu stayed in Portugal, and they continued a long distance relationship for 3 years until Romeu moved to the U.S. Their wedding took place 6 years later in the place where their love story began…Portugal!

A Gorgeous Winery Wedding from Bella Pictures

Erica and Alan met in high school, but didn’t start dating until after they had graduated. Alan proposed on a romantic trip to Europe at a clifftop hotel overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

They had their gorgeous wedding at Wente Vineyards near San Francisco. “I wanted an outdoor wedding and my husband and I loved the idea of a winery setting,” says Erica. “That area also has a bit of horse country around it, and I’m an equestrian so I was sold!”

When talking about their Bella Pictures photographer, Erica and Alan have only good things to say. “Our photographer did a wonderful job,” they say. “We are still having a hard time narrowing down the pictures we want for our album because so many of them are that good! The photographer was thoughtful, reliable and completely professional. They captured the style we wanted perfectly.”
