Inspiration Board: Cherry Blossom Weddings

Friday, August 14th, 2009

I love Cherry Blossoms. I may be bias towards them having lived in D.C. for a year and a half , but I am certain that anyone who has had the pleasure of walking along a Cherry Blossom lined sidewalk would agree.

These delicate flowers provide the perfect backdrop for a late winter/early spring day and they would also be the perfect backdrop for a wedding.  If you’re considering a Cherry Blossom wedding, below are a few ideas to get you started:

Royal Purple

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

Shades of violet, lilac and lavender make their royal comeback this season! In everything from designer dresses to fashionable decor, this hue adds a hint of drama to everything it touches. Take a look at my idea of a truly royal wedding inspired by the color purple.

Wine Country

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

I took a trip to wine country recently and got a lot of inspiration for my wedding. Who wouldn’t fall in love with the breathtaking valleys that makes the area so unique? Every picturesque view of rolling hillsides and growing vines made me dream of everything wine country. I get wedding inspired and think of using country chic decor like rustic wooden signs to direct guests where to go. My fiancé and I envisioned our favorite wines being featured during cocktail hour. And how about having each of your tables named after your favorite types of wine such as Chardonnay or Merlot? Another great idea would be to have wine and cheese stations to bring a bit of wine country to your own wedding. Here’s a few pictures I took from my trip. May it inspire your own wedding vision!
