Today, we are honored to be sharing this precious wedding taken at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Maryland. This luxurious waterfront venue offers heavenly views of the Eastern shore! Jenna and Katie recently exchanged vows during their afternoon outdoor ceremony, overlooking the Bay Bridge.
Their fun, nautical wedding theme was paired with gorgeous purple and blue hues. You’ll find vibrant pops of color within the flower bouquets, reception decor, and wonderful bridal party! These young lovebirds also made their own wedding hashtag, which allowed their guests to better partake in their special day along the Bay. We love the unique touches Katie and Jenna incorporated throughout!
Today, we are tickled pink to be sharing this vibrant wedding that took place at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Half Moon Bay. If you live in California, you may have driven past this gorgeous location before. This wedding venue has sweeping views of the Pacific ocean, and is located alongside a lavish golf course. It’s a little slice of heaven!
Anu and Gaurav are a perfect match. You can get a glimpse of their fun personalities, via their joyous wedding decor. They currently reside in Boston, but flew into the Bay Area to celebrate their traditional Hindu nuptials with friends and family. We love how their time-honored ceremony effortlessly transformed into a modern, black tie reception. It’s the best of both worlds!
Today, we are beaming with joy to share Megan and Benjamin’s classic, formal wedding. Hosted in Tampa Florida, these elegant venues perfectly captured their traditional day. Weddings with a soft, neutral palette remain effortlessly timeless! Great for any season, this dignified wedding theme easily translates no matter where you and your significant other may live.
From The Bride:
Our wedding was very “us” in every way possible! From the venue’s botanical vibe, to our wine cork collection serving as our personalized “guest book”, and our musician’s alternative sound, every single detail of this wedding was hand-chosen by myself and my husband. Our simple yet beautiful flowers, the meal and appetizers served, our “exit” details (playing/dancing in balloons to our favorite song and riding off in a Wrangler), our WPD paper products that truly defined our overall wedding “theme”, and everything else in between- every piece was intentional. It couldn’t have been more perfect, or unique to us and our 10 year relationship!
This week’s adorable real engagement happened in a trendy spot in Atlanta, Georgia. Sharon and Tyson are a sweet couple that met on eHarmony about 3 years ago, and wanted some lively engagement pictures to commemorate their fun personalities.
How they met: After a couple weeks of chatting, we went on our first date at a rooftop bar in Atlanta. We clicked instantly. Our conversation flowed effortlessly- mostly because of our common interests and sense of humor. Before we knew it, 3 hours had passed! We’ve been inseparable ever since.
Proposal Story: We were traveling in Paris, when my fiance Tyson, popped the question!
On the day of the proposal, we were planning to see the Love Lock Bridge (Pont des Arts) in Paris. It was first thing in the morning, and I was still pretty groggy. Since I was still waking up, I didn’t read any nervousness that Tyson might have been showing. As he wasn’t involved in the activity planning for that day, I had no clue that there was a big surprise headed my way! (If he were to propose, I always thought he’d schedule a fancy dinner or a romantic walk, you know, something totally obvious that would tip me off.) But he played it cool that day, and went along with whatever I thought we should do.
Once we got to the bridge, we placed our lock on the bridge and then needed to throw the keys in the river. When I asked Tyson for the second key, he pulled out the ring, and got down on one knee. I was in SHOCK; not that he proposed, but that he was able to surprise me! After his dreamy proposal, we spent hours just walking around Paris and chatting about the events that led up to the proposal (how my parents reacted when he asked, how his mom reacted, etc). It was such an amazing day
How they picked their photo shoot location: When planning our engagement session, we wanted a place that meant something to us. Most of our hobbies involve food and drinks, so I was struggling to think of a good place that would mean something to us, and also give us great engagement pictures. I briefly mentioned our love of beer, and the SweetWater Brewery to my photographer, and she jumped at the idea! She loved how unique and personal it was for us. We visit this brewery all the time with friends, and it’s my fiance’s first choice for beer during any occasion (we’re having it at the wedding too!), so it was perfect! Our photographer spoke to the Manager who was just as excited to have us shoot some cute brewery engagement pictures there. The whole staff was so gracious to us and let us shoot all over the brewery. We had an amazing time drinking some of our favorite beers and capturing moments that would last a lifetime.

Hey, it’s Amber!
We all know how important photography is to a wedding day. So today on Small Talk Big Day, we have Gigi DeManio here to give us her best tips for how to work with your photographer for wedding photos that you will love.
Amber: Those getting ready shots are always a fan favorite. How can a bride make sure they turn out beautifully?
Create a cohesive look: They should coordinate. Ask your hair and make-up artist to wear something that’s cohesive, maybe all black or maybe all white. Try and have everyone involved look like a team. As well as your bridesmaids, when they’re with you, it’s nice if they’re all wearing the same thing. While your all getting ready maybe, wear pretty matching robes or a special wedding day shirt that you made for them. Just remember, cohesive!
Amber: How can couples help you get that perfect ceremony shot that they’re dreaming of?
Make room: Your photographer should be able to move around freely without being intrusive. If you have wall-to-wall chairs set up for the ceremony, there will be no space for the photographer to move candidly. This makes it very difficult to get those beautiful shots of the bride looking at the groom and vice versa. Ideally, you want your photography to be able to move up to the front of the ceremony as well as go to the back, allowing him/her to get all these amazing angles without being intrusive.
Amber: Onto my favorite topic, gadgets! How can couples avoid having too many gadgets pop up in these beautiful wedding photos?
Curb guest gadgets: Communicate with your guests. If you don’t want to have iPhones or iPads in your shots, let them know that you would like them to leave them behind.
Lesson learned, gadgets down at the ceremony guys!
Your wedding may only last a few hours, but your cherish the photographs for a lifetime.
