Vintage Purple Outdoor Wedding in B.C.

Today, we are falling head over heels for Tess and Ed’s stunning outdoor wedding. Nestled within the mountains of British Columbia, this serene lakeside setting is a bit of heaven on earth.

Their intimate evening wedding incorporated only their closest friends and family. They also made sure to include an array of thoughtful details in their wedding decor, and even had an adorable vintage theme that set the tone for their big day. We are swooning over the various purple, teal, and creamy white hues displayed within their theme. Everything about Tess and Ed’s special day feels so romantic. We are loving these colors for spring! They used our wedding invitations to match their elegant vintage vision.

You can tell from the wonderful wedding photography, just how much this family loves one another. Their wedding toasts were all filled with so much laughter and sweet tears. This joyful bunch capped off the night with their favorite Dairy Queen ice cream cake, and enjoyed each others company until the early morning.

Vintage Blue Wedding on a San Francisco Pier

Today, we are swooning over this fun, blue wedding inspiration! It has an assortment of unique elements, from a pastel blue wedding dress to the array of blooming tropical bouquets. It encompasses some relaxed nautical flare, as well as some trendy boho wedding elements.

We love this little Lighthouse venue. Built in the early 1900s, it is a fun place to visit if you are visiting the Bay Area! Nestled within the Glen Cove Marina, it is a romantic seaside venue that allows for an intimate gathering.

We are smitten with the something blue wedding theme. From the delicate macaroons to the vintage rentals for the reception, this talented team made sure to carry these dreamy wedding colors across all aspects of the big day. Even the premium floral wedding invitations match the reception decorations! This inspiration is so perfect for spring!

Intimate Backyard Wedding in Modesto, California

These Tuesday delight “I, Do’s” have us just smitten. With their furry friends next to them at the alter, a smores bar and their closest guests, this couple tied the knot just the way they wanted to. This intimate DIY backyard wedding felt just right for Cortney and Craig who wanted a vintage yet smaller feel for their big day. Spoiler alert: Cortney’s dress is vintage from 1962 and she only paid $600 including alterations. Now onto the photos captured by Dawn Kelly Photography

How the couple met….

Cortney and Craig met at the restaurant where she works as a waitress.

(She’s finishing up nursing school now.) He saw her when he came in, then when he returned he asked to be seated in her section. He asked her out and she went and they’ve pretty much been inseparable since.

Within weeks they knew they were meant to be together, and when they met each other’s families and saw how similar they are, they knew they’d have a long and happy marriage. He proposed in Yosemite. They’d gone for the day and she didn’t know he’d picked up the ring they’d picked out together in SF a few weeks before. He asked a stranger to take their photo and Cortney told him to stop embarrassing her and stop fidgeting. Haha… When he got down on one knee she started sobbing and couldn’t talk, and snot was running from her nose, which we all laugh about because Cortney used to model professionally, so you can imagine this really gorgeous girl all snotty.

From the Photographer…

The couple chose to get married at their house and only had about 40 guests.

They had no bridal party, but included their dogs instead! Craig landscaped the entire yard and built the bar from the ground up. They also set everything up themselves and a friend did their flowers. The only vendors they paid were us (photos) and the caterer, Blodgett Catering. The food was SO GOOD! For desserts they had root beer floats and s’mores. They kept the wedding very vintage.

A Chic Purple Winter Wedding

We are overjoyed to be showcasing this adorable, vintage wedding with you all.

Melissa and Mike held their December wedding at The Mansion At Valley Country Club, in Baltimore Maryland. This mansion was built in the 1800s, and has since been renovated when former NFL star, Art Donovan, purchased the property. This venue offers gorgeous fireplaces, elegant chandeliers, a grand Victorian staircase, stunning oil paintings, a sport’s bar, and even an old cocktail room. What more could newlyweds ask for?

This winter wedding has beautiful, deep purple hues paired with soft shades of grey. Their special day is traditional and oh so elegant. We are swooning over all of the twinkly lights and dangling chandeliers. But we especially love the fun modern twist, near the end of their wedding!

Featured Wedding Paper Divas Wedding Invitation: Night Blossoms

Photo Source: Couple | Bouquet | Heels | Cake

Night Blossoms invitation: This invitation is totally gorgeous! Perfect for a fall or winter wedding, its black backdrop calls attention to the couple’s names and the details regarding the celebration to come. Pairing antiqued flowers with this bold text and stunning monogram wedding invitation makes this invite the perfect combination of vintage and glam.

Couple: Aren’t they dazzling? This blush gown is a vintage and voluminous mermaid cut whose cascading ruffle train is the pinnacle of fashion and beauty. You can even tie this look back to the groom by adding a simple, blush pocket square.

Bouquet: This bouquet is the epitome of 1920s Hollywood glam. Its soft and sweet flowers coupled with baby’s breath lends the bouquet a gentle romance that is brought straight into the 21st century with this black foliage.

Heels: These peep toe pumps are absolutely gorgeous. The simple blush color paired with a thin ankle strap gives the bride a dainty yet elegant look from the front and then pure glam from the back with a diamond studded heel, surely to turn heads.

Cake: I love this cake. Though complete white, the subtle yet intricate lace details that adorns its sides gives it an absolutely fabulous look that appears effortless. Subtle, romantic and oh so glam, this theme truly takes the cake.
