Blue and Gold Outdoor Wedding on a Winery

Today, we are swooning over this stunning wedding on a winery. If you are familiar with California wine country, you may have seen this famous venue nestled alongside Napa. This sweet couple wanted something light and airy, that would be as equally relaxed as it was romantic. Utilizing whimsical blue and gold colors helped them achieve their spectacular wedding vision!

From the gold Chiavari chairs to the pastel blue tablecloths, we can’t take our eyes off of how refined this wonderful wedding is. The gold-rimmed glassware and chic gold chargers perfectly complement the tone of the party; and the purple grapes along the tables are a fun homage to their rustic winery venue.

One of our favorite pieces from their big day was the bride’s gown, which had a dramatic low back, and elegant lace throughout. Her chic bridesmaids wore champagne dresses to match the overall blue and gold wedding theme. Their pastel blue and cream wedding invitations also helped set the tone for their big day. Sophisticated and playful, it was the perfect invite for their needs.

Spring Wedding Colors in a Bay Area Winery

Today, we are so overjoyed to be sharing Alex and Sara’s amazing day. While their vibrant wedding favored an overall yellow and grey wedding theme, their entire event was filled with an abundance of pretty spring wedding colors! We love how chic their rustic, chalkboard wedding invitations looked at their winery wedding.

From The Bride:

Alex and I first laid eyes on each other in high school- we were only 15! We were on our way to a Sadie’s Hawkins dance and met during the proverbial “picture taking” beforehand at a mutual friend’s house. We weren’t each others’ dates but should have been with all the flirting we were doing.

We became high school sweethearts, but then decided to go our separate ways in college to do some (much needed!) growing up. Near the end of college our paths managed to cross again; and we’ve been together ever since.

I wanted to make sure that our wedding had a lot of special details. My “Something borrowed” was the pair of earrings my older sister wore back on her wedding day. I think they were great luck! For the reception, I had my dad build a custom seating assignment chart. It was a 6×8 ft board with a sign instructing guests to “Trace Your Roots to Sara and Alex”. The roots spread out across the entire board, and each root represented a special part of Alex’s and my life. For example, “Chi Omega” was the grouping for all my sorority sisters, “Liman” (the street Alex lived on in college) was the grouping for his college roommates. We also had a special section at the venue to show a “Family Tree” of marriages. We framed our grandparents and parents wedding photos, all coming together in the middle with one of our engagement pictures. We could not have been more excited to share our special day will all of our amazing loved ones!
