Valentine’s Day Inspiration

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

It’s dreary and raining here in San Francisco, so I decided to cheer myself up by spending the entire morning browsing through some of my favorite wedding style sites. I absolutely adore Rebecca Thuss (a photo stylist/creative director/event planner/crafter extraordinaire) for her gorgeous and romantic designs.

She didn’t let me down today—I found these beautiful table settings that would be perfect for a sweet Valentine’s Day soirée with all of your friends (or even a lovely night in for you and your fiancé!). Pair it with a Wedding Paper Divas Valentine’s Day party invitation (or anti-Valentine’s Day party invitation!) for an extra splash of fun this February.

Fall in Love with Simple Valentine’s Day Recipes

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Sometimes the sweetest Valentine’s Day celebration is a simple party for two! If you are looking to save some money and still create a romantic environment for you and your beloved, try some of these meaty recipes that the man in your life is sure to love.

  • Bacon and Cheese Roll: Apparently, it’s every man’s culinary dream—and probably only okay to eat once a year on this special occasion!
  • Sweet Onion Blossom: Create this veggie side dish for your sweetheart using mushrooms, asparagus and a sweet onion.
  • Prosciutto and Cheese Stuffed Lamb Tenderloin: Giada de Laurentis will help you find the way to your man’s heart with this rich and simple main dish.
  • Easy Ice Cream Cake: This recipe offers a grown-up version of his childhood favorite! Plus, it’s easy to make and looks like it took hours in the kitchen.
  • Creamy Chocolate Mousse: Who could resist this classic, creamy and chocolaty dessert?

Inspiration Board: Vibrant Valentine’s Day Weddings

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

It may seem cheesy to have a Valentine’s Day themed wedding, but with the holiday falling on a Saturday this year, there are bound to be countless weddings with just that.  The look and feel of a Valentine’s Day wedding can be sophisticated, alluring and all-out romantic if it is done well.  Here’s my take:
