Today, we are elated to be sharing this adorable country wedding on a farm. Held in Tennessee, you can see the expansive countryside for miles and miles. Sunshine and puffy white clouds seemed to span into the distant horizon.
We love the rustic wedding touches these two created for their special day. Kelli and Matt had unique DIY reception decor, a custom bench “sign in” book, and a catchy hashtag sign for all of those great candid wedding pictures. The wedding was especially sentimental to Kelli, as her father officiated the wedding ceremony. From her elegant lace wedding dress to the rustic barn, we love how serene this wedding theme feels.
Today, we are soaking in the beauty of this serene wedding venue. If you enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and a wedding in the country, this chic barn wedding will make your heart melt. Kelli and Brent had no worried faces as the skies turned a little grey, nor when it started to rain during Brent and Kelli’s first look. These two knew how to throw a luxurious party for all of their sweet guests!
From the pewter bridesmaid dresses, metallic golden wedding cake, navy blue suits, and chic lace wedding dress, we love the delicate details of this special day. The outdoor tent made the reception space looks warm and cozy, despite a bit of gloomy weather. The white and peach colored flowers paired with small pieces of drift wood made this space as rustic as it was romantic!
Hey, Divas! Where is the time going? Can any of us believe that it is already mid-May? Us at Wedding Paper Divas are still surprised by how fast time is flying by. There is something refreshing about an outdoor wedding and these “I, Do’s” are a nice reminder that warmer weather is on the way (and coming fast.) We are absolutely swooning over this romantically rustic wedding with a light and creamy color palette, perfect for a spring or summer ceremony.
From the vintage mismatched guest seating to the rustic photo booth for snapping all the fun, each and every detail of this outdoor wedding perfectly complements the sweet love this couple shares. There’s nothing more important in life than family and Chelsea and Scott’s big day was not only about just the two of them, but their adorable little ones too. As they blended their family under the Californian sun, it’s beautiful to see the joy and smiles they share. Get your notepads out and ready to take some notes for your big day.
Today, we are sharing an absolutely breathtaking styled shoot all the way from Colorado!
Nestled within the mountains, this historic venue houses a rustic log barn which is a stunning accompaniment to Wild Canyon Ranch. Within this venue, you’ll find panoramic views of golden fields, a quaint pond, and flourishing forests filled with an aromatic array of pine and aspen trees.

The bride’s long, flowing vintage veil is a perfect match for the intricate details within her wedding dress. Perfect for spring and summer, we also love the varying green hues, pops of pink, and creamy white colors within their wedding decorations. Both rustic and chic, are could stare at this styled shoot for hours.
Today, we are so excited to share with you this intimate and rustic wedding on Kildara Farms in Victoria B.C. It was the perfect setting for Sarah and Kevin’s unplugged I DOs.
How They Met…
Sarah and Kevin met 10 years ago while Sarah was giving out free hugs downtown. The two became instant friends, and several years later, they decided to take their friendship to the next level. After living together, they had two amazing little boys named Jack and Finn.
Sarah and Kevin both have a love for all things geeky. They decided on having R2D2 bride and groom figurines as their cake toppers! This reflects their personality perfectly. Sarah’s vision for the wedding was to feel like home. She spent a lot of time with her grandparents in Armstrong and Vernon B.C. exploring orchard fields, farms, and barns; so when they found Kildara Farm in Victoria B.C. it was the perfect place to have their intimate unplugged wedding.
The bride got ready with her two adorable sons. Her hair and makeup was done by Artistry by Alexa. She wore a custom dress which featured a sweetheart front, and scalloped lace bottom. Sarah added a custom jacket and adorable lace-up shoes with a floral print to her outfit. Her boys wore blue vests and matching pants which matched the groom’s attire.
Tucked behind an apple orchard, the couple got married in a grassy clearing with family and sunshine surrounding them. Shortly after vows were exchanged, the couple retreated with their guests to the barn for cocktails as dinner was being prepared. Guests were presented with mason jar glasses with personalized name tags. Tables were set indoors and outdoors; they were decorated with white linens, long burlap runners, and wooden slabs creating a perfect base for vintage tea cups to sit filled with gorgeous flower arrangements made by Poppies the Florist. Chalkboard table numbers, Macaroons displayed beautifully in tiny cake stands, and vintage romance novels stacked beside them added to this rustic and romantic setting.
A lot of the decor the couple incorporated, were items from around their home to ensure that extra homey feel. The couple had a traditional two-tier cake to represent the groom, and an additional pie table which included all kinds of pies (lots of pies) picked by the bride. Sarah ordered and ate pies from every bakery in Victoria over the year leading up to the date. When she found Cascadia Whole Foods Bakery, she knew she found a winner. They make delicious pies that are fresh, and use local fruit! They are affiliated with Rebar, the vegan restaurant, one of the better eateries in downtown Victoria. Guests were presented with sweet mason jars filled with cotton candy provided by Petite Puf in Vancouver as a thank you. Guests were able to choose from 3 custom flavors which included Peach, Blueberry, and Vanilla.
This wedding was small, intimate, and gorgeous and photographing it was a dream!
Rustic doesn’t mean brown neutral tones. Soft creams and weathered wood can be a perfect backdrop to pops of color, like turquoise, fuchsia, orange or a buttercream yellow. These vibrant colors add a wake-up call to any wedding. This rustic revival is sprinkled with colors that accent tables, adorn cakes and spruce up invites. Show your guests a colorful setting that awakens their senses and adds a unique spin to a rustic wedding theme.
A wedding invitation is a perfect way to show your guests your color theme and your style. See how the invitation’s design and colors are used for the wedding day decor? Brilliantly done.
Here’s how you can add vibrant colors to accent your wedding theme:
We all love the way a red barn door acts as a dramatic backdrop to wedding photos. Take your wedding theme a step further and step out of the box. You don’t even need a barn to create this backdrop. Find old wooden boards or doors, paint them and prop them up behind your photo booth, dessert table or use as a backdrop to your wedding photos.
Bare wooden tables and neutral colors offer the right base to colorful table decor. Use napkins as your color accent. It’s the perfect way to use a bold colors like turquoise without overdoing it. Don’t forget the little details like favors decorated with pretty gift tags. Fill bottles with honey, a cocktail mixture or candy—whatever fits your personality.
Say a special “thank you” to your guests with DIY favors. Have an aunt who’s famous for her homemade jam, or how about a friend who makes salted caramel? Utilize your friends and family—most are more than happy to contribute. Then add your finishing touch with stylish gift tags or stickers with a personalized note. Tie it with twine and decorate the favor with fabric for more color.
Bright and bold colors can look beautiful next to your wedding dress and your partner’s outfit. Make a colorful statement with your bridesmaid dresses. If you want to tone down the pop of color a little, add neutral cardigans or denim jackets. They also add more of a relaxed and casual look to your rustic wedding theme.
Let’s talk about the icing on the cake—the dessert. After dinner, guests await a treat that satisfies their sweet tooth. We love how this cake looks handmade and natural with the cake showing through the frosting. This type of cake is called a naked cake and it’s really trending for rustic weddings right now. Not even the cake is left behind without color. Here, flowers provide pops of color for a colorful wedding theme.
When planning a rustic wedding, don’t be shy about including your favorite vibrant colors to your backdrops, and accenting your tables and cake with turquoise, fuchsia, orange and yellow. Show off your style and how unique the two of you are. Happy planning.
