Link Love: Weddings Around the Web

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

As I surfed the web this week, drinking in all of the different tidbits on my favorite wedding websites, I couldn’t help but want to share how great some of these blogs are.  So this week’s link love is dedicated to all the great wedding blogs out there–show them some love!

  • I love, love, love this post on veils from Weddings Fresh.  The pictures alone are enough to keep me occupied for at least a half hour.
  • I also have to give a shout-out to a totally offbeat Wedding Blog…Tacky Weddings.  If you need to unwind from some stressful wedding planning–and get ideas on what NOT to do–check out this hilarious blog!

Link Love: New Year’s Resolution Relief

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

The holidays have come and gone, and it’s time to start kicking off those New Year’s Resolutions that you promised yourself you’d stick with this year.  One of the top resolutions is always to exercise more, lose weight, and be healthier in general, especially if you’re preparing for a wedding!  Today’s Link Love is here to help ease the pain of starting a new workout regimen with some tools and tricks found across the web:

-Do you have an iPhone, iPod or Smartphone?  If so, check out some of PumpOne’s apps.  Each one leads you through a series of exercises and workouts, easily tailored to different fitness levels.

-Keep track of what you eat and develop a diet profile using Calorie Count, a free online database and food journal.  You’ll be shocked to see how quickly those calories add up!

-Workin On My Fitness, a great blog dedicated to living healthy and fit, often gives great tips on workout videos, tools, books and more to help you with your fitness plan.

-InStyle Weddings has a great 6-month pre-wedding workout plan to prepare you for the big day.

Link Love: New Year’s Celebrations

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

The holiday season tends to descend upon us in one full swoop.  Once Thanksgiving hits you, there is barely time for an audible breath before you find yourself scampering through the mall in a panic, searching for THE gift for your near and dear.  Not to mention the numerous holiday parties and events that are sure to stack up.  In the midst of all the madness, there is barely time to plan the ultimate New Year’s Eve celebration that you’re dreaming of.  To help you out, I’ve listed my favorite links to help you design the perfect setting to pop the champagne, whether it be a quiet evening close to home or an all-out destination celebration.
