In celebration of its launch on Time Warner Cable, WEDDING CENTRAL hosted a special event in NYC yesterday morning called, “IF THE SHOE FITS.” Twenty brides-to-be headed out from Times Square, hopped on the subway and rode downtown to Madison Square Park where a 20-foot stiletto heel filled with shoe boxes awaited them.
The first bride to find a pair of high-end designer shoes that fit won a $5,000 cash prize plus a huge prize package that includes a wedding design consultation with me, a case of Moreno BHLV California Sparkling Wine from a Limited Edition Collection that I have in development, a copy of Weddings Valentine Style, custom invitations from Ceci New York and a gorgeous wedding cake from Ron Ben-Israel.
I had the privilege of hosting the event and truly enjoyed celebrating this amazing accomplishment for Wedding Central and interacting with all of my sisters in L-O-V-E! Khloe Kardashian was on-site as a special celebrity guest judge, and she helped declare the winner along with fellow Wedding Central expert Ceci Johnson.

Looking for a quick and inexpensive centerpiece idea? These charming mason jar centerpieces are perfect for any occasion, from a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner to your wedding reception. You only need a few inexpensive pieces to make a charming look come together in no time!
Mason jars of various heights
Washi tape or other decorative tape (a great craft staple to stock up on!)
You really can tailor this craft to suit your own style, so feel free to experiment with colors and artistic elements.
Step One: Decorate the Mason Jars
Attach the washi tape in a decorative way, whether you use it to create vertical stripes, horizontal rows or a crisscross pattern. We opted for a simple and modern design based on the Petite Leaf gift tag stickers we selected.
Step Two: Attach Adhesive Gift Tags
We attached the gift tag sticker only to the larger, more dominant jar in our arrangement.
Step Three: Add Water and Candle
Fill the jars with varying amounts of water. We filled the larger jar halfway and put slightly less water in the smaller version.
Next, add the tea light candles and light them using long matches to avoid any unfortunate mishaps.
Step Four: Arrange and Enjoy Your New Centerpieces!
We thought they looked particularly charming paired with fruit, but you could also add a few flowers, arrange them on a tray… the possibilities are endless!
I love holiday party season, but after your fourth straight year of attending the same silly sweater party, things can start to feel a little stale. If you’re looking for a fresh new way to give your holiday party a fun twist, try out some of these ideas for unique and super chic holiday party inspiration!
Like the classic Santa on holiday Coke bottles, there’s something fitting about blending holiday style with retro charm. Give your holiday party a vintage twist for a festive fete that’s sure to be fabulous.
Giving your holiday party a lift can be as easy as freshening up your presentation. I love the idea of serving cupcakes on upside-down cupcake pans, or adding lollipops to cocktails for a burst of fun color.
Who says you have to play charades? Transform your nutcracker party into a trip to see the ballet performed nearby, with cocktails after the curtain goes down. You could also have a casual showing of your favorite holiday movies or attend a local choir performance.
Make your event easier (and more fun for guests!) but organizing a potluck. You can also consider hosting a brunch, afternoon cocoa & cocktails party or evening wine & dessert party to have a little fun with your food choices for the festivities.
Although Wedding Paper Divas doesn’t currently offer holiday cards, you can find a range of fun designs for couples at our parent site, Tiny Prints! You can even log in with the email and password stored as your Wedding Paper Divas account information to place your order. It’s a fun, easy and stylish way to celebrate the upcoming holiday season!
Many grooms choose to head out for a round of golf with their groomsmen and male relatives on the morning of the big day, but that doesn’t mean golf is the only activity available to the groom and his buddies. Here are a few other ideas that will make the day even more memorable:
Play a sport. From touch football to soccer, softball and tennis, there are plenty of team sports that are guaranteed to be a good time. Just make sure to plan ahead so that everyone comes prepared (and don’t let the groom get tackled!).
Get into games. Host a video game marathon or challenge the groomsmen to bowling, billiards or poker for a little friendly competition.
Book a massage. What better way to help everyone look relaxed and glowing than with an hour-long pre-wedding massage?
Be adventurous. Check out a local rock climbing gym or race go karts together. Trying something new is a great way to have a blast before the wedding!
Since I was little, my family has played a big game of croquet at every celebration from Thanksgiving to graduations, birthdays and plain old backyard barbecues. As a result, I love the idea of incorporating these classic games into your wedding as a form of entertainment!
This video has spread through our office like wildfire. You typically expect the bridal party to do a fun and funky entrance at the reception, but this couple has raised the bar with a hip hop entrance to the ceremony!
Would you boogie down the aisle on your way to get married? Do you think this idea is fun or irreverent? Does this hip hop wedding entrance make you want to rant or rave?
There’s something sweet and eternally summery about a county fair. From the classic rides to the goofy games, rich fair food and bright, vibrant energy that surrounds you, being at the fair is like being transported back to a simpler time. It could even give a hopeless romantic visions of that scene in “The Notebook” where Noah climbs the ferris wheel to get Allie to agree to go on a date with him.
With all the charm and whimsy of a summer fair, it’s no wonder the idea has become a popular wedding theme. If you are considering a fun fair wedding, gather some inspiration from a few of these adorable celebrations from Southern Weddings, Amorology and Under a Paper Moon.
