Lovely Luminaries

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Light up your wedding day with seasonal luminaries! Getting married in fall? Then you’ll fall in love with the season’s best and most unique ways to light the way.

These autumnal luminaries from Martha Stewart are so festive. They would work perfectly as a centerpiece or to light the way from ceremony to reception. Use battery operated candles to prevent any unwanted accidents.

Check out this one from the ever reliable Etsy. Made with handmade paper, this Autumn Leaf luminary from PaperPlanet make beautiful take home favors for guests.

These white pumpkin candles from Pottery Barn (also comes in orange) add fall decor and lighting to your wedding. Use them to decorate the sign-in table or the cocktail area to bring a beautiful glow to an evening affair.

Invite guests to a fall wedding with this nature inspired wedding invitations from Wedding Paper Divas.

Fall into this Fall’s Wedding Style

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

It’s hard to believe that summer’s almost over, and with the upcoming fall season just around the corner, I thought I’d prepare you with gorgeous gowns and autumn-inspired save the dates. Enjoy my Fall Inspiration Board.

1. Guests will love you for giving them something unique that they can actually use. Modern Bride’s idea to give out burlap bags filled with apples and apple pie recipes is chic and sweet. 2. Who else but Martha Stewart could come up with those beautiful and creative boutinnieres? 3. The Knot’s Fall wedding cake is untraditionally modern. 4. This Jessica McClintock bridesmaid’s dress comes in a variety of colors, and is a steal at only $130. 50. The gorgeous orange calla lilies come from The Knot’s real weddings. 5. I love Vera Wang, and her Fall 2008 bridal runway on Brides.com is no exception! 6. I may be biased but I think Wedding Paper Divas’s Maple Leaves Ecru Save the Dates are perfect for a fall wedding.

Real Weddings: Romance in the City

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

The following Real Wedding was submitted by photographer Critsey Rowe.  As you may remember, Critsey also submitted last week’s Real Weddings post.

Today’s Real Wedding couple is Colleen & Tim.  Colleen, a student, and Tim, a solider, were married in November of 2007.  Tim is currently deployed in Iraq.

In addition to the rich tones featured in the beautiful flowers and decor, we also loved the romantic photos of the couple on the Brooklyn Bridge and in Grand Central Station.
