Flags and sprinkles atop a delectable little donut… what better way is there to guide guests to their seats? We’re smitten with this bright and whimsical place card arrangement due to it’s overwhelming amount of yummy!
Instead of the traditional tiered fondant covered or butter cream wedding cake, many couples opt to cut an alternative dessert “cake” that captures their individuality and taste. From macaroon towers to a giant rice krispie treat cake, there are many creative options and variations. Are you a fan of these unique dessert ideas or would you rather have a true wedding cake?

Today’s Real Wedding features the wedding of Aileen and Jason, which took place at Historic Jordan Springs in Winchester, Virginia. Our Vintage Print invitations were the perfect choice for a fall wedding set in the Virginia countryside. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple had fresh, hot cider donuts along with a whimsical cart for the guests to enjoy. We just love the beautiful harvest hues used in the wedding as well as the charming caramel and candied apple favors. Here are some beautiful photos of the event, courtesy of Terra Dawn Photography.

When I was scrolling through the gorgeous weddings featured on Southern Weddings, one definitely caught my eye—not only did Mary and Mark use the stunning color combination of deep red and cool teal, but they had this spread of desserts that looks absolutely divine.
Feast your eyes on these wedding desserts to die for. Cookies, creme brulee and tarts—oh my!
