Whether you’re selecting the music for your first dance, the last dance of the night or any of the songs in between, our team of staff brides have a little advice to give on what to consider before you simply compile your favorite songs together in a playlist. Have you thought about these three important questions yet?
1. Will your guests know the songs? Sure, you might have an eclectic taste in music and your wedding should showcase your style to a certain extent, but if your guests don’t know the majority of the songs playing on the dance floor, odds are they won’t be joining in the fun.
2. Will they sing along? Nothing will ruin the romance of your first dance quite like Uncle Jerry’s top-of-his-lungs rendition of your favorite song…
3. Can they dance to it? If you want your guests to get out of their seats, select songs that are either fast enough or slow enough to make them easy to dance to.
Do you think these are the most important things to consider when selecting your wedding music? What else would you add to the list?
