Wedding season is in full swing, which can only mean that bridal showers are too. So, we thought it’d be the perfect time to share a chic shower DIY that’s easy to make—and easy on any planner’s budget.Embellishing your guests’ place settings is a fun way to add a dash of elegance to your event, and your bride will absolutely love the thought.
Here’s how it’s done…
White paint pen
Clear glass plates
Step 1: Set the Stage
Turn your kraft paper into a tablecloth. If space doesn’t permit, cut runners or rectangular shapes for each spot.
Step 2: Get Creative
Use the paint pen to write out each guests’ name. Add fun flourishes, delicate dots and more! You can even use this space to play up your party’s theme. Just make sure to keep your handcrafted design within the shape and size of the plate that it will sit under.
Step 3: Add the Finishing Touches
Place your plate, silverware and glassware down. Step back and smile knowing that guests are going to love it!
If you try this idea yourself, or if you have any DIY ideas to share, send your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll post them for all of our fans and followers.
Floral themes are always a recurring trend in wedding stationery, season after season. We’re huge fans of all the unique techniques we see in our new collections that manage to reinvent even the most traditional flowers. This week we’re focusing on one flower in particular; the rose. This quintessential romantic bloom will work for every aspect of your event, from your invitation to your decor.
This fresh and romantic bridal shower invitation by one of our talented designers, Petite Alma, inspired our whole bridal shower theme. The artistic watercolor feel, bright red poppies and sunkissed yellow are so appropriate for a warm weather affair!
While we dish about the hottest trends and latest designs (aka the fun parts of wedding planning!) we also know how stressful prepping for the big day can be. So, we would like to formally introduce you to Etta, our new etiquette expert. She’s ready and happy to delve into your every etiquette dilemma.
I’m not able to make it to my cousin’s bridal shower. Should I still send a gift?
While gift giving is never a requirement, bridal showers are the only pre-wedding event where gifts are typically expected. You should never feel obligated to send a gift if you can’t attend, but it is a nice gesture if you’re able to do so—and one the bride will truly appreciate!
