We’re passionate about a particular shade of purple this week. This isn’t a soft lavender or violet – think deep purples, like amethyst, eggplant, and amaranth. Incorporating this color into your wedding theme can lead to striking wedding invitations and bold bouquets. Go beyond the traditional rose bouquet and seek out vibrant variations of lillies, tulips, and orchids. Here are five of our favorite purple finds spotted this week:
Sunflower is the Pantone color star this week, and also happens to be one of our favorite floral hues. Use this tone (and variations of it) as the base of your bouquet, mixed with dusty greens and blues for a fresh, naturally gorgeous look.
Love the look of woodsy meets romantic? Fall sets the perfect backdrop for outdoor weddings, rich with natural colors, details and textures—and your flowers are the perfect place to highlight the beauty this time of year brings. Take this bouquet for instance… the classic white paired with unexpected textures and unique flora options is a combination made in autumn wildflower heaven.
One of the advantages of a Spring wedding is the abundance of gorgeous blooms available to you to use throughout your wedding. Tulips, peonies, ranunculus, hydrangeas, irises and callas are just some of the flowers of the season that will make for a beautiful bridal bouquet. We found a variety of vibrant and colorful springy bouqets around the web that are sure to give you some floral inspiration.
Looking for a way to make your bouquet unique, eco-friendly and easy to preserve? Balsa wood flowers might be the perfect solution. These delicate bouquets are handmade using ecologically sustainable timber that never wilts, dies or fades. They look absolutely stunning, and can be kept as a keepsake for years to come!
If you’re interested in balsa wood flowers for your ceremony, contact local florists to find out if there are any specialists in your area. You can also check with artists like Krislyn to order online!
There is something about a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream that takes me to another place, where everything is happy and beautiful and perfect. As I was consuming said bowl last night, I began to picture the perfect wedding, cast in shades of this delicious treat. The color was brought up again in conversation with a fellow Diva, and from there, this inspiration board was born. So grab a bowl of mint chocolate chip, and enjoy.
