With Thanksgiving (or Friendsgiving) approaching, Gillian from Coastal Bride shares these simple yet completely chic place setting ideas for the holiday.
Hi everyone! I’m Gillian from Coastal Bride, a Charleston, SC, based wedding blog. I am so excited to be sharing some fun Thanksgiving table-scape DIY’s with you today. Each of these place settings are super simple to create yet will make a splash with your guests!
For the first setting I decided to work with a purple color palette. I chose the eggplant ribbon from Wedding Paper Divas collection as well as the Midnight Beauty place cards in Amethyst. I kept the florals simple and organic by using fresh greenery, which gives the table a pop while letting the décor shine. I created a gold wishbone that doubles as a place setting and a favor for guests to take home.
The second place setting has a pink undertone. Thanksgiving is a time of harvest so I kept the décor natural with wheat husks serving as place settings tied off with elegant wine colored ribbon. The Krafted Love menu cards in copper foil are the perfect contrast to the bold tones of the protea centerpiece.
I repurposed the wheat husks to create the centerpiece for the third tablescape and added a navy table runner for a pop of color. I decided to keep this setting simple so that the Thanksgiving greeting card could take center stage.
