Real Weddings: Jasmine & Kenneth

This week’s Real Wedding is the beautiful celebration of Jasmine and Kenneth, held at St. Dominic’s Church and Stern Grove Park in San Francisco, CA. The couple met six years prior at the Stern Grove Concert Festival, so they chose the same spot for their wedding reception.

The big day reflected the groom’s Southern roots and the bride’s Chinese-Filipino heritage. The cover of their wedding program read, “So you’re going to sit through a Catholic Filipino-Chinese Southern wedding.”

They had Filipino phrases incorporated into the wedding décor and favor tags, traditional Filipino “barongs” for the groomsmen, Chinese lion dancers, a New Orleans-style jazz band and a delicious Filipino-Southern menu that included sweet tea, ‘lechon’ whole roasted pig and purple yam ice cream.

The bride DIYed a lot of the decorations herself. She designed her infographic-style save the date cards, a friend designed her wedding invitation and she also used a lot of stylish stationery from Tiny Prints, Shutterfly and Wedding Paper Divas. Menus, escort cards, place cards, rehearsal dinner invitations and ceremony programs are from Wedding Paper Divas, ceremony bubble wands are wrapped with Tiny Prints address labels, bridesmaid gifts and welcome guest bags also used Tiny Prints and Wedding Paper Divas stationery.

Beautiful wedding, beautiful couple, and beautiful church! I love how they incorporated both their heritage into their special day. Loved the stationery as well!
