Rant or Rave: Do We Want Prenups?

Admittedly, there’s good business sense behind a prenup. Marriage is basically a contract between two people, so actually hammering out the details in an tangible contract isn’t too big of a leap from the original idea.
And yet, even though divorce rates remain high and there’s always a risk involved in fusing your finances with another person, there’s still something undeniably unromantic about prenuptial agreements.
Does marriage have to come down to dollars and cents? Or can there still be good sense in the old saying between married couples that “what’s mine is yours”? How do you feel about prenups? Rant or rave!

I can see both sides of the debate. I understand theold fashion mind of whats yours is mine but what if folks have issues that they didnt tell you about? I dont wanna be responsible for issues that happened long before I came one the scene

I don’t see the big deal about pre-nups. Divorce is unfortunate, but the reality is that it happens every day - even to the best of couples. Why not prepare for the slight chance that it will happen to you?
