We love the Disney princesses as much as the next girl, but the whole idea of dressing up as one begs the question—how far is too far?
A few years ago, clothing designer Kirstie Kelly created a Disney-themed line of wedding dresses modeled after a few of your favorite Disney princesses. Then just last week she launched a line of Disney princess wedding rings to match!
Do you think this is Disney wedding overkill? Would you ever opt for a Disney-themed wedding? Is this idea cute and sweet or a bit too much? Do Disney weddings make you want to rant or rave?

I’ll be honest; I skip over Kristie Kelly’s dresses designed for Disney whenever I come across them. If you are still dreaming of being a faily tale princess, maybe you haven’t reached the emotional maturity necessary to get married. If you like the dress on its own merit, that’s another story, but the whole thing kind of gives me the creeps.
Amazing dress!! So beautiful!
I have always thought the Disney Princess concept for wedding gowns and accessories was fine. I don’t see anything wrong with wanting to channel your inner princess or favorite princess on your wedding day because it really is your one day about having all of the attention on the bride and looking your most beautiful if that makes sense. I think for the most part the bride and maybe the groom would be the only ones to really know if you were having everything Disney – dress, jewelry, rings, etc as most people in my experience only ask where you got your dress/ring/etc not who made it or inspired it. So as long as the whole wedding isn’t Disney themed with the decorations and such screaming Disney who really cares.
It is GORGROUS and just what I wanted! I will also be sure to tell all my friends about your site when they decide to. The wedding dress is exactly what I was looking for. Price yielding benefit, flash sale waiting for you at http://www.eastbridal.com.
It is interesting that Disney would extend its brand into this category. Then again, the thinking may be that engagement rings and weddings in general are recession-proof. After all, no matter what, people want to get married. And some of these designs are great!
How is it creepy? It’s a dress. It’s not like they’re the exact design AND color of the princess dresses, then yes, I’d consider it a bit childish. It’s not what I’m looking for, but I don’t at all consider it creepy or weird.
I like the idea of a fairytale wedding, there is so much imagery to use there. I think disney is a bit to commercial of a theme, thou I do like the idea of having little animals sew my dress.
wow
