I’m having a destination wedding and know a lot of my family won’t be able to attend but should I still mail invitations to everyone. Invitations are expensive and I’m afraid people will feel like I’m expecting them to spend the money. I’m so confused :/. HELP!!!!

Hey Rebecca, we understand where you’re coming from. You could avoid sending invitations to them but if you do, you run the risk of coming across as rude to them. Sometimes it is the thought that counts, and while it is entirely your choice, you must be ready to deal with any possible backlash from anyone and everyone. You could let people know on the invites that you’ll have a reception when you get home, so they’ll know that they will have the chance to celebrate with you if they can’t come. But they will definitely appreciate being invited, whether they can make it or not.

    All the best!

My Best Friend Nadia got married in India. She still sent me an invitation letter ( even though live in Canada) The Invitation letter was beautiful and it almost convinced me to hop on the plane to go see her. In short Send the invitation. It makes people feel good.
