The holiday party season is right around the corner, and that has all of us here at the Wedding Paper Divas offices thinking about party favors, decorations, recipes and more.
If you’re planning a chic holiday soiree this year, we’ve got two fresh DIY ideas for favors and decor that are sure to leave your party guests perfectly delighted—the first is a simple holiday party napkin ring idea, and the second a super easy holiday party favor idea.
Which will you try out this holiday season?
DIY Holiday Party Napkin Rings
- Holiday party invitations (we used a design similar to this Stylish Exchange holiday party invitation from our parent site, Tiny Prints)
- Quality cardstock or thick ribbon for the rings
- 3-D dots (commonly found in the scrapbooking section of your local craft store)
- Festive napkins
Step One: Cut Out Design Elements
Cut the design elements you’d like to use on your napkin rings out from the party invitation you’ve chosen. In this case, we cut out the present shapes and prepped some cardstock by cutting it into thick strips.
Step Two: Add Foam Dots to Design Elements
The dots will come with adhesive on either side, so all you have to do is peel them off the sheet and plop them down on the back of the designs you’ve cut out.
Step Three: Create Rings and Affix Designs
Wrap the rings in a wide circle, then glue them in place. Use the adhesive on the other side of the 3-D dot to attach the design to the ring.
Step Four: Repeat Until All of Your Napkins Look Divine!
Once you create a bunch of different rings, simply slide the napkins through for a fun, elegant and festive presentation.
DIY Holiday Party Favors
Whether you’re hosting a cookie party or you just want to send your guests home with something sweet, these cute cookie cutter favors are perfect for any holiday affair.
- Thank you cards (we used the Cookie Celebration holiday thank you card design from our parent site, Tiny Prints)
- A hole punch
- Festive cookie cutters, like these from Beau-coup.com
Simply write one of your favorite cookie recipes on the thank you cards, then hole punch each one and string a ribbon through the card and the cookie cutter. It’s an instant DIY favor idea that’s sure to leave them smiling!
