Disney Proposal
My husband proposed to me at the “happiest place on earth.” I am a big Disney fan, so when he had the opportunity to ask me in DisneyWorld (the smart guy he is) he took it. Atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort on the 15th floor at a popular restaurant called California Grill, he proposed.
Although I admit I wasn’t surprised since we chose a ring, he knew how I felt about Disney and I saw the hostess’s shocked expression when she was handed a card that I imagined read something like, “He’s going to propose,” I was still surprised by the place and how he did it.
Every night at 10 pm there is a fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. At the California Grill, there is an observation deck where you get a bird’s eye view of the fireworks. Not only did I get to take in the beauty of the fireworks, but the restaurant also had speakers outside so you could hear the music that went along with it. The whole thing was so beautiful that I was crying way before the actual proposal. It was after dinner when it happened. My ring came gorgeously wrapped and placed on my dessert plate. In chocolate, it said, “Will you marry me?”

awww - that is really sweet! i love that your ring was your dessert, but that it wasnt in your food. i am always afraid that someone will choke that way.
my husband took me to a fancy dinner on HIS birthday to throw me off. however, i was highly suspicious when my casual guy selected one of the most romantic restaurants in LA. all through dinner i hoped & wondered if it would happen, but it never did. UNTIL we walked outside to find a parked limo with the door open and a driver who immediately handed me a bouquet of tulips (my favorite). right then my husband got down on his knee and proposed! it was so sweet that he made the limo driver cry.

A proposal in chocolate couldn’t be more perfect! My husband took me to California Grill for our first dating anniversary. And my parents went there on their honeymoon. We are Floridians so it isn’t so much of a stretch, but it holds a special place in my heart - as it does in yours!
