I came across this unique peacock wedding cake on San Francisco Style Unveiled, and it got me thinking about how gorgeous peacock feathers are and how lovely they can be as wedding inspiration.

Whether you use actual feathers as centerpieces or cake decor, or you simply borrow the bold colors of the peacock for your celebration, I love the idea of incorporating this elegant theme into your wedding.

I love the rustic charm of this elegant photo shoot from Photorange Photography. Kylee and Austin used simple props to transform the shoot from cute and sweet to chic and charming as well.

New Ways to Make Wedding Paper Look Posh

It’s probably not surprising that we love paper here at Wedding Paper Divas. We love stationery, of course, but we also love pretty paper decor and other creative ideas for turning classic cardstock into a fun and fabulous part of your ceremony.

As a result, we instantly fell in love with these two ideas from Adrienne and Jake’s wedding on the Joel Flory Photography Blog. The first photo is an example of a beautiful way to display your place cards using vintage shutters or a folding screen, bright ribbon, contact paper and a few pins or clips.

In the next few photos, you can see how the couple used a Rolodex to encourage friends to leave them little notes, advice or inspiration. It’s like a portable wishing tree using colorful paper! We love it!

Some of my friends have expressed to me that they find the pressure of creating the perfect save the date cards can be too much early on in the wedding planning. When this comes up, I always suggest that they use their engagement photo shoot as an opportunity to work with their photographer to come up with some unique shots that can be the centerpiece of the save the date. After all, this makes the session a lot more fun and it gives you the opportunity to test out your photographer’s creativity before the big day.
