Since Valentine’s Day falls on a long weekend again this year (February 15 is President’s Day!), it’s the perfect opportunity to sneak away from wedding planning and hide out at a romantic vacation spot. Luckily enough for those of us in the U.S., there’s usually a snow-covered mountain, seaside bed and breakfast or quaint little town to provide ample Valentine’s Day weekend entertainment within driving distance of home!

Here are a few of our favorite romantic weekend getaways in the U.S. to help you celebrate Valentine’s Day in style:

Santa Barbara, California
Beaches, mountains, great food, luxe hotels and world-class shopping. What more could you want from a sweet little seaside city?

Grafton, Vermont
Full of snowy mountains and gorgeous vistas, Vermont makes the ideal getaway for New Englanders looking to get back in touch with nature.
