Spring is in full bloom and we’re crushing on all things floral. Roses are on our radar, and these three bridal shower invitations truly make us want to stop and smell the flowers. Aren’t they lovely?

Floral themes are always a recurring trend in wedding stationery, season after season. We’re huge fans of all the unique techniques we see in our new collections that manage to reinvent even the most traditional flowers. This week we’re focusing on one flower in particular; the rose. This quintessential romantic bloom will work for every aspect of your event, from your invitation to your decor.

If you’re deciding on a theme for a couple’s wedding shower, the usual pastels and florals won’t really work. Navy blue and kelly green is a color theme that is both gender neutral and sophisticated with a nautical, preppy feel.

Think pink for spring showers! Pastels are always a popular choice for spring bridal showers, and this week we are especially in love with feminine shades of pastel pink. Keep it girly, but sophisticated, by working with a few different intensities of the same pink, and adding gray and white as your neutrals.

Wedding Paper Divas is bursting with staff grooms and brides-to-be who are currently planning their weddings. We’re happy to share their stories with you as a part of this fun feature!
This past weekend I celebrated my bridal shower with those nearest and dearest. My mom and a few friends flew up from Los Angeles to join my local friends and family—what a nice treat! I had no idea what to expect since they kept most of the details under wraps. They did however consult me on the invitations (I mean I do work at a stationery company, after all) and I’ve loved this design from Tiny Prints since the moment I laid eyes on it. So we re-purposed it for my bridal shower. How cute!
One of my bridesmaids had the shower at her house. While on the way there I realized I have never had a party thrown for me as an adult. A whole new experience! When I arrived, I was totally stunned at what a wonderful bash they all put together. Decorations, tons of delicious homemade food, a slide show of me throughout the years, music, friends, family and all kinds of fun, new games!
Here are some of the highlights:
This doesn’t do all the delicious food justice, but to give you a taste.
A few of my favorite people…
Dan’s adorable cousin modeling the latest wedding toilet paper fashion!
Making perfume!
Opening tons of thoughtful gifts.
Meet Jessica
Jessica and Dan met nearly 7 years ago on Myspace. (Remember Myspace?) It took weeks of contemplation until they decided to finally meet… and I guess you could say the rest was history. After discovering their mutual shoe addiction, surviving countless Thanksgiving family meals together and three apartment/house moves later—they are officially ready to tie the knot.
Jessica and Dan are getting married May 27, 2012 at Malibou Lake Mountain Club in Los Angeles.

There are so many beautiful new bridal shower invitations on our site, it’s hard to choose just one! We went with a gorgeous Jenny Romanski design for today’s board. The contrasting patterned back and vintage frame label, along with the teal, pink, and sage green color palette, all inspired the theme of the event.
