You might have joined sites like Facebook and Myspace just to keep in touch with old friends and share funny photos of your college roommate with the world, but these fun social networking sites have grown a lot since the days when we all first signed up. With so many great wedding vendors, groups and blogs to check out, you might have to spend even MORE time on Facebook than before! (Hey, it’s a legitamate excuse, right?)
If you are planning your wedding and looking for some great new ideas, check out some of Facebook’s most popular wedding groups–some literally have thousands of members, all looking to share ideas about everything from wedding planning to enjoying your honeymoon and the best ways to spend time together as newlyweds. Here’s a list of our favorite Facebook wedding groups to help you find new inspiration in the online wedding world!
- “Being Engaged Rocks!” has 1,290 members, with nearly 100 discussion topics on everything from honeymoon tips to wedding photographers
- Both “Engaged” and “I’m Engaged and Getting Married” ban advertisers, so you won’t have to wade through spam to get the great tips these groups have to offer
- “Great Wedding Network” has some ads posted on it’s wall, but they are generally really relevant and not too bothersome. Plus it’s a huge group with 1,882 members!
- “All I Want to Do is Talk About Wedding Stuff!” is a super cute group with more than 200 interesting discussion board topics to read through
- “Wedding Planning” is another fun group where you are sure to find every new site, resource and vendor in your area posting about what’s new in weddings this year
