One of the Wedding Paper Divas staffers got married over the weekend, and we absolutely adored the unique way she and her husband cut the cake. At the center of each table, they featured one of these charming cakes with two little nesting birds on top as a centerpiece.
When it was time to cut the cake, they traveled around to each table to cut each cake individually. It was a great way to get some special time in with all of their guests, and everyone was thrilled to find out whether they got banana cake or red velvet—either way it was a sweet surprise!

What a great idea. So many times the bride and groom are too busy to chat with each guest. This gives them an opportunity to spend a little time at each table. I love it.
